Thank you for your interest in the Reading & Lecture Series!
We are invested in our literary programming being universally accessible. For all questions about specific accommodations, please contact Program Coordinator Becka Ranta at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have a small number of assisted listening headsets available by request. If a larger number of headsets is requested, please give us two weeks' notice to arrange a loan from another department.
If you would like American Sign Language interpretation for Reading & Lecture Series events, please write to Becka Ranta at email@example.com. We require a minimum advance notice of two weeks to connect the visiting poets with the interpreters, who strongly prefer advance access to the poems to review; requests made further in advance are strongly preferred. Do get in touch if there is shorter notice – we will do what we can!
Parking on campus is heavily restricted, however it is free after 5:00 PM in almost all of the parking spaces surrounding the Poetry Center. Just park in a "Zone 1" spot. Again, these spots are only free after 5:00 PM, when our Reading & Lecture Series programming is.
If you have any questions about our venue, which is ADA accessible, we are happy to discuss at any time. Feel free to get in touch with Program Coordinator Becka Ranta at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you would like to support the Reading & Lecture Series as a volunteer, please contact Becka Ranta, Program Coordinator, at email@example.com. Most volunteer shifts are from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm on Thursdays surrounding our events, and involve moving chairs, passing out and collecting surveys, counting the audience, and other events-related tasks. We ask that you be comfortable lifting up to 20 pounds if you choose to join us as an events volunteer; if this is physically limiting for you, please do reach out to determine other ways to support the Series!
If you are interested in volunteering in a more sustained manner, consider joining us as a Poetry Center Docent! More information about our Docent Program is here: https://poetry.arizona.edu/get-involved/docent-program.
If you are interested in discussing other involvement in the Reading & Lecture Series, please contact Becka Ranta, Program Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
